High above Keylong, in the rugged landscape of Lahaul, stands a magnificent snow-covered mountain and glacier known as the Lady of Keylong. At around 6,061 metres, it can be seen from Keylong and has become one of the most intriguing landmarks of the Bhaga Valley.

But what makes this mountain extraordinary is a mysterious shape visible on its snowy face.
Even when the surrounding slopes are covered in snow, a dark, bare patch remains in the middle, creating the unmistakable appearance of a woman walking with a load on her back. This remarkable natural formation is the reason the mountain came to be known as the Lady of Keylong. The feature has also been recorded by the Geological Survey of India.
